A street vendor in Cafayate, Argentina smokes whole chickens. He sells these mouthwatering treasures for $8 a pop. Lured by the aroma, my friend and I bought a chicken and a couple liters of beer for lunch, which we ate, sitting in the shade of the grapevines that crisscrossed our hostel’s dusty courtyard. This chicken stands out in my mind as the juiciest bird I’ve ever eaten. This guy is a well seasoned master.
